Processor
The processor is the most important thing you should pay attention to when buying a For Artists laptop. This requirement should take precedence, we recommend using a processor with fast speed and multiple cores. It will help you if you keep in mind the CPU clock speed factor.
If it has fewer cores, it means a lower average performance speed, so you should think about it. Therefore, which processor is the best for you to skip the most popular processor on the market.
Storage
The second thing to think about is the store. This is one of the important factors to buy the best laptop for artists who are different from the best laptops in general. Art files can take up a lot of space, so look at the storage space.

Generally, Art documents and files require higher storage; You may need an alternative storage source. Even if you use an external drive, you still need to leave enough space on your laptop; otherwise, it will eventually take a lot of time to unpack the file when you can do billable work.

Graphics Card
If you create a public job, you can save money by not buying a high-end graphics card. High-end graphics cards allow you to move around highly detailed or textured project models without delay.
For this article and comparison with laptops described further below, when I mention that the graphics card is middle-class, it means that it is suitable for your project work on a relatively large number of polygons in frame image mode and may appear. The preview texture mode will lag and move.
Price
Price is the most important factor before buying a laptop. Buying a computer is not as easy as buying a smartphone. Buying a laptop is a long-term investment, so you should evaluate all factors thoroughly before buying a laptop.
Your budget can determine the laptop you buy. If you want to buy a cheap laptop, you may need to make some sacrifices, such as reducing the CPU, reducing RAM, not using an SSD, etc. However, if you have more budget, you can buy a laptop with better performance.
Most people will get stuck and buy a laptop with ideal graphics and other activity specifications, but you can’t upgrade some laptop components like a computer.

Here, we’ll take an in-depth look at this powerful laptop from HP to see what makes it so great, as well as what its weaknesses are. So read on to see if this could be the next laptop you buy or if you’re better off sticking with your current PC.
HP’s Spectre x360 has everything you could want in a modern laptop, with powerful hardware, an innovative design, and state-of-the-art features. We recently spent some time with this machine and can share our impressions of the high-end HP Spectre x360 here in this in-depth review. Below, we’ll explore the performance offered by this laptop’s Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU with Iris Plus Graphics, as well as its impact on battery life.
Performance
Given its spec sheet, it’s no surprise that HP’s Spectre X360 delivers excellent performance. It has an Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU with 16GB of RAM and Intel Iris Plus Graphics, which gives you plenty of processing power for media creation, gaming, or multitasking. If you need more power from your laptop, you can always connect an external GPU dock (and I’d recommend getting one). The SSD has 1TB of storage space that ensures quick startup times and speed during everyday use as well. This laptop does heat up quite a bit when running resource-intensive applications like Photoshop or Premiere, but overall it stays relatively cool.
Design
HP’s new Spectre x360 is more than just a good-looking laptop it’s beautiful. The laptop itself is slim and incredibly lightweight, weighing in at less than 5 pounds. It’s also much smaller than many of its competitors, making it an ideal portable computer. The keyboard on my model has slightly more key travel than most laptops I’ve tested, which made typing comfortable. And the display is bright with vibrant colors, although it could be brighter. Overall, though, there are few laptops on the market that look as sleek as HP’s latest offering.
Display
The display on HPSpectre x360 is gorgeous. It’s bright, clear, and crisp, with vivid colors and excellent viewing angles. Watching videos was enjoyable on it, as was just about any other kind of content I viewed on it. And for those times when you want to connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV, it supports Mini DisplayPort out of the box. Just remember that you’ll need to have some sort of adapter if you plan on connecting via HDMI that port isn’t supported by default. Plus, there are two forward-facing speakers located above each of its sides that make for great sound in small spaces.
Battery Life
The HP Spectre x360 lasted over nine hours in our Web-browsing battery life test, which is very good for such a thin laptop. Our video playback battery life test took less time about four hours, but that’s about average for laptops in its class. Either way, these results are good news if you plan to use your laptop on long flights or during commutes.
Software and Features
The HP Spectre x360 15 sports an impressive array of software, including several touch apps that let you interact with your laptop without having to resort to touch. The HP TrueVision HD Webcam is also excellent, making it easy to video chat with friends and family no matter where you are. Finally, there’s Windows Hello support for biometric logins, which is secure and convenient. Battery life is also quite good, though not class-leading.
Connectivity and Warranty
The HP Spectre comes with a slew of ports, including two USB 3.1 (Type A) ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI output for external video support, an SD card reader for multimedia storage expansion, and a headphone/microphone combo jack that supports Windows Hello. The model I reviewed also has fast charging capabilities, I was able to go from 0 to 80 percent charge in just 50 minutes. It comes with a standard warranty of 12 months.
Price and Availability
The HP Specter x360 is priced from $1,699 to $1,999 depending on specifications. When compared to other devices, it is much more expensive but has high-end specs. The device will be available in retail stores and on Amazon.
Experience with the HP Spectre x360
Is it a good laptop?
I’ve been using the HP Spectre x360 for a couple of weeks now, and overall I’m really happy with it. In fact, I’d say that this is one of the best 2-in-1 laptops you can buy right now, whether you’re looking for something for personal use or business use. Here are some things I love about it and my experience using it so far:
- It has an outstanding design with powerful performance.
- Huge battery life to boot
- This laptop is very comfortable when watching movies because of its high-resolution screen and audio performance.
Verdict
The HP Specter x360 is one of my favorite laptops for Artists and Digital Art. The design is sleek, light, powerful, and beautiful. But HP’s Specter x360 laptop isn’t just about good looks, it has strong performance, too. Thanks to its Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 1TB solid-state drive (SSD), and over 8 hours of battery life on a single charge under normal usage conditions (such as surfing the Web or watching movies), it’s truly among one of the best 2-in-1 laptops you can buy today for under $2,000.

For years now, digital artists and graphic designers have been stuck in the middle, not satisfied with their drawing pads, and not quite satisfied with the offerings of actual desktop computers. For those who prefer to work digitally but have yet to fully embrace digital art, Microsoft’s Surface Pro 7 may be the best of both worlds solution you’ve been waiting for. Here are just some of the reasons why Microsoft Surface Pro 7 could be the perfect device for artists and digital art.
Performance
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 has been released on the market with amazing specifications and features, making it the perfect device for artists and digital art lovers who enjoy the freedom of taking their digital skills on the go! While this tablet comes with core components like an Intel Core i5-1005G1 CPU accompanied by Integrated Intel Iris Plus Graphics, 8GB RAM, and a 128GB SSD, it also has many other exciting features and offers plenty of different uses.
Design
Microsoft created a unique design, making it stand out among many competitors. Its dimensions are approximately 11.5 x 7.9 x 0.33 inches and it weighs 1.73 pounds without its keyboard attached. Customers have noted that although heavier than other models, it is still easier to carry than traditional laptops which are heavier. Besides that, there are four colors available: Platinum, Burgundy, Black, and Cobalt Blue. Customers enjoy that there is such variety in design available as well as each being sturdy enough to last long-term.
Display
The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 has a 12.3-inch screen with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 at 267 PPI, making it easy to carry around wherever you need to be. Its touchscreen allows for increased interaction with your work, allowing you to draw directly on it as needed, or use your fingers or a pen in place of a mouse or stylus when needed.
It also comes with an included pen stylus that works perfectly with both digital art programs and regular writing apps like Microsoft Word. A backlit keyboard allows for night time writing as well as touchpads that allow for multi-touch capabilities so artists can adjust sliders easily and quickly on programs such as photoshop.
Battery Life
If you’re going to be doing a lot of drawing, you’ll want to make sure your tablet has decent battery life. It needs to get you through an average workday, or at least a long flight.
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 offers up to 13.5 hours of battery life which allows you to take your digital art on the go. A whopping 15% increase from the previous generation (Surface Pro 6) which offers a battery life of 11 hours! It also has fast charging capabilities that charge 50% faster than Surface Pro 6. Fast charging can top up your battery in just 4 hours using a standard charger, 1 hour longer than Surface Pro 6’s time of 5 hours.
Software and Features
Microsoft decided to include Windows 10 Professional operating system which allows creators to work across mixed reality, desktop, phone, tablet, augmented reality, and holographic devices. Surface Pro is equipped with fast charging capabilities so it can be fully charged in just 3 hours. As well as an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and 1080p video recording capabilities.
Connectivity and Warranty
One of my favorite things about Microsoft Surface is its long list of ports, especially since I connect to multiple monitors during work. You’ll find a full-size USB 3.0 port, a mini DisplayPort, a microSD card reader, and an awesome magnetic charging port on every model.
Having access to additional ports allows me to easily sync my phone or tablet with my computer when needed. That’s essential because everything we do today relies on easy access to data syncing tools.
This comes in handy for everything from backing up photos or collecting files from your smartphone that you want available at all times.
Microsoft includes a one-year limited hardware warranty with its new Surface Pro. It also offers a limited manufacturer’s warranty on battery life, which is five years, according to Microsoft’s support page.
Price and Availability
Prices vary by configuration, on Microsoft’s website lists the current price at $899 for the Core i5 model with 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, and Intel Iris Plus Graphics.
While on Amazon Microsoft Surface Pro 7 these specifications are available at a price of $799. This laptop is a rarity, however, artists who enjoy digital art can still find great value in purchasing one if they can pick up a used or refurbished one from a retailer like Amazon Marketplace or eBay.
Experience with the Microsoft Surface Pro 7
Is it a good laptop?
My experience using Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is really good, it’s convenient when you’re out and need to work on things with a lot of thought. In my opinion, it’s a great laptop that allows for drawing, creating digital art, light gaming, and designing websites.
This product does have a fairly large weight but it has very solid materials made of Aluminium which makes it feel pretty durable. It isn’t too heavy in my opinion because I use a cover with it that holds my charger so it’s not completely bulky just sometimes when I have to move around with my backpack everything feels a little heavier.
Verdict
If you’re trying to choose between a laptop and a tablet, then you may want to consider one of Microsoft’s Surface models.
This Windows-based computer blends elements of both devices, providing users with both a keyboard and a touch screen. Because of its design and functionality, it is better suited for artists than other touchscreen laptops.
It allows you to edit photos on your device at any time as well as sketch your ideas when inspiration strikes without having to lug around heavy equipment.
On top of all that, Microsoft offers exceptional customer service if something goes wrong. While there are some disadvantages to purchasing Microsoft’s laptop, they don’t compare with its many advantages if you’re an artist who values convenience and reliability oversize or style.

I’m not a professional photographer but I take lots of photos because it allows me to relive memories. Although, when I want to share my photos with friends or post them online, I want them to look their best so using software like Photoshop is essential.
Verdict
The LG Gram 14 fulfills its primary purpose of being a lightweight productivity 2-in-1 laptop that’s very easy to carry around. Performance is a bit down compared to the last version, but there are no major changes. It’s still very fast for the target user as an artist laptop.
